Manga Hive
An independent, free and ad-free platform to manage your manga collection, track your reading and discover upcoming French releases.

The need
Manga Hive started with a question from my girlfriend, who wanted to give me manga: which volumes did I already own? That personal need grew into a library connecting collections, reading progress and upcoming French releases.
My work
I develop and maintain the product end to end: the Nuxt interface, NestJS API, PostgreSQL database and production infrastructure. A React Native and Expo app extends the experience to mobile, with a synchronised library available offline.
Key decisions
Publishers’ release schedules are normalised and matched to the catalogue while preserving their sources. Scheduled jobs automatically turn validated releases into catalogue volumes on their publication date. Covers are checked, optimised and stored on Cloudflare R2.
The result
A free, ad-free web platform running in production and evolving with reader feedback. Collections, release calendars, wishlists and shareable profiles address real needs, with individual visibility settings. The mobile app is in closed beta.
